KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Chignoni is located in the municipality of Apecchio, known for its famous hump-back Medieval bridge and Palazzo Ubaldini which houses a fine fossil museum. The surrounding area is known for its many sulphuric springs and offers various recreational possibilities including mountain biking, trekking, hunting, fishing and, in the winter months, skiing.
The seaside at Fano is within a 40 minute drive whilst cities of historical and cultural interest Urbino, Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia and Arezzo are all within easy reach. The White Truffle Fair takes place in Apecchio at the beginning of October, an important event which offers interesting week-ends to those who attend. In the truffle seasons, and for those who want to experience the thrill of finding the fragrant tubers, the owner of Chignoni is available to take guests truffle hunting, individually or in small groups, in the wooded areas surrounding the estate
